The Art of Formatting Your Work for Self-Publishing

Besides feeling a sense of pride and achievement in completing a book that was published, I can pat myself on the back when I consider the fact that I self-published A Sight Worth Feeling.  One aspect of self-publishing that is integral in the process is the formatting of the manuscript which must comply with the seller’s formatting requirements:  I successfully formatted my book for publication with all ebook companies.  Wait, I’m not finished gloating, yet.  In addition to doing my own formatting for e-books with Kindle, Nook, Apple, just to name a few, I successfully formatted and uploaded my book for the printed version.  It may seem to some that I am overplaying this newly gained skill, but all of my fellow authors can appreciate my efforts and I’m sure will cheer me on.  These folks realize the work that is involved and the time and determination it takes to be able to say you now have another publishing skill under your belt.  Maybe I should market it.
